Barbizon school with this old oil on panel signed lower right Ch.HON (the signature is difficult to read and incomplete) being part of a pair beautiful view of a countryside landscape with a farmer walking at the edge of a wood with apparently a basket to make a ceuillette.
Heavy and massive frame in gilded stuccoed wood richly decorated with gaps

Note that after a first cleaning the yellowing of the varnish has been partially faded and deserves to be returned to it
