very beautiful earthenware vase from Vallauris by Voldemar VOLKOFF signed Volkoff potter France decorated with two hens and a female silhouette treated in a minimalist way, earthenware partly glazed in a shades of brown in very good condition
note two small accidents under the base towards the stamp

Valdemar Volkoff, born in 1932 from a family of Russian emigrants, apprenticed as a ceramist in Montpellier before working in different workshops in Biot and Antibes from 1952 to 1954, then he settled in Vallauris in the workshops of Capron, Arnasse , Portanier, then as a craftsman in 1967. He exhibits all over the world, produces lamps, sculptures works on stoneware and porcelain
